Her Future Goals
When asked about her life in 10 years, she answered very confidential that she wants to take “Dahaby” to the next level and start a physical store.
Her Story
Kimberly is a young strong woman who is very charismatic and energetic. She has form part of Miramundo since the very beginning and feels very fortunate of having had the opportunity to learn English, a skill that changed her life drastically. Kimberly really enjoyed her Bible lectures when she still attended high school because of the enthusiastic teachers. Thanks to her bilingual education, she has been able to work as a missionary/translator in Honduras. Moreover, after graduating in 2018, she decided to study Business Engineering while working at ALCS Yamaranguila, another school run by ALCS. Unfortunately, she lost her job at ALCS due to Covid-19; however, this has not stopped her from moving on. With the extra time, Kimberly has dedicated herself to “Dahaby”, an online shop she started after seeing the difficulties faces by many women. The business is focused on selling products locally made by women under poverty conditions in order to help them improve their conditions.

Her Future Goals
Although Azucena has many personal goals, one of her goals worth mentioning is her desire to graduate from her current study with a specialization in “Nanotechnology”.
Her Story
Reflecting on her time as a student at ALCS, Azucena understands how important receiving a bilingual education can be. She acknowledges that this opportunity helped her be where she is now. Thanks to the special attention received from passionate teachers, Azucena values the importance of proper education. Moreover, extra-school activities such as SAG have made her aware of her potential. This led her to continue developing herself by going to university. In the last couple of years, Azucena has been working for the government, and at the same time, studying Industrial Chemical Engineering in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.

His Future Goals
Mario has many goals he wants to achieve. First, he would like to obtain a Master’s in something related to project management. Second, he wants to become an entrepreneur as a Tourism consultant. It would be impossible to mention all of his goals; however, he made it clear that we need to have faith in Honduras to create the change that is needed.
His Story
Mario Cruz is a natural-born leader who has a great love for helping others. Just as her sister Kimberly, Mario has formed part of the Miramundo students since the very beginning. He believes that thanks to his education, he is now able to look at the touristic potential in Honduras taking into consideration the environment. Talking about the benefits of speaking English, he passionately talks about the first time he was able to work as a translator which made him realize his unique position. Right after graduating high school, he decided to dedicate one year to society, During this year, he taught English and math to around 400 children in different communities in the department of Lempira. He is currently working at ALCS Tegucigalpa in the administrative section to finance his studies in “Marketing and Publicity”.
